We are looking for an experienced leader with a demonstrated track record of defining, leading and executing a pricing strategy, and building pricing algorithms. The successful candidate will be a passionate professional, with experience in managing teams, working in a cross functional role, and scaling out products globally. This is a global role with direct impact on key strategic goals of the entire company!
 
At Glovo, we believe having the right pricing strategy is key to win any market. In this role you will design the delivery fees structure, discounting strategies on delivery fees, and customer service fees, to directly impact global profitability and growth.
 
The role will influence key parts of the business, partnering with different internal stakeholders from the growth, user experience, data science, product, sales and restaurant operations teams. The focus of this role is to devise a global pricing strategy that empowers and uplifts the commercial performance - in terms of offerings, user experience, and pricing methodologies.

You will:

  • Own and execute the pricing strategy for Glovo globally
  • Redefine the way Glovo approaches pricing in a newly launched and mature city
  • Identify commercial opportunities using data to understand user-buying behavior and define our pricing strategy. Designing frameworks to assess price elasticity of demand - to be able to assess which consumer will stay, which will drop
  • Find the sweet spot where growth is not impacted, but pricing revenue steadily increases - without altering user experience
  • Introduce global guidelines and processes aimed at improving user experience and engagement
  • Align local initiatives to optimize efficiency and results defining dashboards and tools to enable global and local teams to keep track of key pricing performance indicators
  • Work in hand with the product team to define the process and tools to effectively translate strategies into product
  • Lead charge with data science on redesigning the pricing algorithm
  • Introduce ways to increase ticket size - scale quick wins globally
  • Build the Global Pricing team

You have:

  • 6+ years experience in pricing, analytics, top-tier consultancy or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Math, Engineering, Stats or Quantitative field
  • Previous working experience with analytical toolkit - SQL, Python/R
  • Problem-solving skills to deliver quick and efficient solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and solve problems autonomously
  • Ability to effectively and comfortably manage many stakeholders with different interests and act as a role model for more junior co-workers
  • Fluency in English
  • An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude
