The Fleet Automation team builds next gen tools and real-time analytics platform that powers Glovo fleet operations. Our team’s mission to increase the courier efficiency directly impacts over 30M users. We solve exciting product and technical challenges that are unique to the scale we operate at.
The team builds low latency dashboards that provide instant insights about 10s of thousands of Glovo couriers and spot anomalies in your order fulfillment.
We work in a small, focused and autonomous product team, make data driven decisions, and ship the code to production instantly through our continuous delivery pipeline. As a team we have full ownership over our systems - including infrastructure decisions, operability, ensuring quality through automated tests, running A/B tests and arranging on-calls.

Be a part of a team where you will:
As a Fleet Automation software engineer, you’ll contribute to building the core real-time operations platform that enables teams across Glovo to monitor and manage our courier fleet. You’ll collaborate with engineers, data scientists, product managers, and designers in the company offices across Europe.
We love sharing knowledge and ideas, and we care about each and every one of our engineers. You will get mentoring and coaching you need to grow your technical expertise.
Some of the projects you will work on within the Fleet Automation team:
- Processing 100s of thousands of events with millisecond-latency to provide sub-second Live Data analytics
- Tracking and visualising courier locations in real-time on interactive city Live Maps across the world
- Driving company-wide rollout of Vue3 across multiple Glovo teams
- Implementing product features that automate fleet operations so that our couriers earn more money while your order gets delivered faster
- Shaping Glovo architectural direction by working in technical committees across teams
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- Strong Java programming skills with preferably 5+ years of professional experience in building complex data-intensive applications
- Familiarity with or interest in learning any of the following: Java/Kotlin, Spring/Spring Boot, Kafka, Redis, MySQL, AWS, Terraform
- Commitment to deliver high quality well-tested software employing modern engineering approaches and architectural styles, including microservices, stream processing and event-driven architecture
- Proven ability to build backend systems with a solid foundation in fault-tolerant and resilient distributed systems
- A strong sense of ownership and deep care about the quality of the engineering done on the team
- Exposure to frontend programming in Typescript and frameworks like React or Vue
- Great communication skills
