YOUR WORK-LIFE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join the Customer Cluster. Our vision is to build a smart and effortless on-demand service that connects people to anything they need in a balanced marketplace. To achieve this vision we need to bring the quality and technical maturity of our user-facing products to the next level.

This is a high impact role. Reporting directly to the Cluster Director, you will be working closely with senior engineers and engineering leaders to define the way our customer apps are built and managed for years to come. Some of the challenges that you will get to work on include Modularisation, Real-Life Performance, Experimentation, Developer Efficiency, etc.

  • Collaborate together and learn from each other
  • Define and execute the engineering strategy for the cluster and the whole engineering organisation

You have:

  • An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude
  • A passion to make a positive impact on the life of millions of people through technology 
  • At least 10 years of experience in software engineering roles and agile environments
  • Deep knowledge and experience with user-facing technologies (mobile, frontend)
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence other people
  • Demonstrated experience in enabling engineering teams to produce high quality, innovative solutions for technically challenging problems
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic environments
  • Excellent spoken and written English is a must
