The role
At HelloFresh, we’re looking for a senior legal counsel to join our People, Culture & Legal team! You will be senior legal counsel covering all legal questions - corporate, marketing, commercial and much more. As we have grown significantly your role will be two fold:
- Building and putting into places the policies and safeguards that ensure we are living up to compliant and good business practices
- Support the business in ongoing questions regarding legal issues
You will also be responsible for an additional legal colleague supporting you on legal topics with a majority of focus being on Swedish employment law as we have a large presence in Sweden. You will be responsible for all local legal questions and will be supported by our global legal departments, and thus have a responsibility that touches upon a wide range of legal matters across the Nordic region.
You will work with key business stakeholders locally and internationally. This position is full-time. You will be based in our Nordic head office in Islands Brygge, Copenhagen and report to the Director of People, Culture & Legal Nordics..
What you’ll do
- Develop the necessary policy, compliance and tool infrastructure to support business needs on legal topics
- Review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including partnership agreements, supplier agreements, non-disclosure agreements etc.
- Be hands-on and have a ‘’can-do’’ attitude and an open mindset
- Work independently and provide advice about a wide range of legal topics
- Provide assistance to various operational departments with claims and disputes and liaise with external advisors in connection with litigation, arbitration and specific transactions
- Be responsible for other legal matters such as personnel matters and compliance
What you’ll bring
- A background as qualified lawyer in one of the Nordic countries and a broad legal knowledge
- At least 6 years of professional experience in the area of corporate law, which you have acquired in a top international law firm or in the legal department of an internationally renowned company
- A strong and keen interest in complex cases
- Ability to structure and prioritise your work, with a long term continuous improvement mindset
- The ability to work independently, to make practical and solution-oriented decisions and to represent them internally and externally
- Excellent communication skills & you’re fluent in English and one of the Nordic languages either Swedish, Danish, or Norwegian (REQUIRED)
