We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our ambitious and fast-growing HelloFresh Retail Media team in Amsterdam. As part of the Retail Media Team,  you will play a key role in monetizing HelloFresh’s physical and digital advertising space. Your focus will be driving and further scaling revenue expansion across the Benelux region through impactful media and brand partnerships.

In this role, you will be responsible for both deepening existing relationships, with partners engaged in product sampling and recipe integration, and for identifying and forging new commercial partnerships by offering innovative advertising solutions across our digital and physical channels.

Beyond growing our current partner ecosystem, you’ll be at the forefront of identifying untapped opportunities. You’ll scope, develop, and lead the launch of strategic initiatives that unlock new revenue streams, while ensuring smooth internal alignment and operational excellence across departments.

As Senior Business Development Manager you possess excellent communication, negotiation and sales skills, are able to operate independently, taking full control and responsibility for meeting business and partner goals. This role involves collaborating with local and global cross-functional teams, managing legal and brand feasibility, logistics, developing strategic sales plan and tracking campaign performance while keeping a keen eye on market trends and opportunities.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue and achieve sales targets across various channels, ensuring alignment with company goals
  • Develop and nurture strategic partnerships: Build and manage relationships with C-level executives at global advertisers and media agencies, creating tailored retail media joint business plans that meet their needs
  • Pursue new business opportunities: Identify, pitch, and secure new retail media partnerships to expand revenue streams ensuring favorable terms and conditions as well as alignment with HelloFresh company goals and objectives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with internal teams, including procurement, growth partnerships, and Global RM teas, to design and execute effective go-to-market strategies
  • Oversee all aspects of campaign logistics, including product procurement, packaging, advertising, and distribution
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales reports and forecasts to local and global senior management, and monitor market trends
  • Represent the organization: Act as a brand ambassador at global and local conferences, industry events, and client meetings, showcasing the company’s retail media capabilities and expand our network with large advertisers and media agencies.

 

🍉 These are the ingredients you’ll bring to the team

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Growth Marketing, ideally within an agency or corporate setting; experience in the FMCG industry is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of sourcing, launching, and scaling successful partnerships, supported by strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets and drive organizational growth
  • Pipeline-focused with expertise in building and managing healthy pipelines that fuel long-term success
  • Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a strong bias for action
  • Clear communicator with exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of conveying complex ideas with clarity
  • Adaptable and resilient with a continuous improvement mindset, comfortable navigating change and ambiguity
  • Collaborative team player with experience working across international and multicultural teams
  • Well-connected within the FMCG and media agency landscape in the Benelux region, ideally with an established client portfolio to accelerate partner acquisition for HelloFresh
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in sales analytics, and a passion for problem-solving
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a structured, data-informed approach to decision-making
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; fluency in Dutch and/or French is mandatory
  • Positive contributor to team culture with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
