The Role  
 
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Business Operations Manager. The ideal contributor will collaborate with all groups within Hitachi Vantara and 47Lining to facilitate business processes.  Be part of a dynamic team that helps customers build, operate and manage breathtaking “Data Machines” for their data-driven businesses. We are focused on helping industrial enterprises drive business transformation expanding available data, retiring bespoke applications, and adopting cloud-based DataOps solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Team liaison with finance, procurement, travel and entertainment, HR, global services operations 
  • Work with finance to ensure customers are invoiced for services delivered 
  • Partner with procurement to purchase software, services, office supplies, etc. needed by team 
  • Assist the team with planning, travel, and entertainment 
  • Communicate HR policies to team 
  • Organize and shepherd business processes such as hiring pipeline, new team member on-boarding, mentoring, and team cadences
  • Organize in-person team events like monthly all hands 
  • Organize and track overall team activities using Jira/Confluence

Qualifications

  • Experience in software engineering or cloud solutions industry
  • Strong background facilitating engineering team collaboration 
  • Ability to partner closely with groups within larger organization to support team 
  • Experience with finance and accounting 
  • Excellent communication and documentation habits
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
