The team
The Global Total Rewards function is currently going through a transformation towards building a best-in-class TR organization which supports five different Operating Companies of the Hitachi Digital group (HD) across the world. With this in mind, we are therefore searching for a Senior Specialist, to join our EMEA Total Rewards (TR) team.
The role
You will be focused on total rewards projects with emphasis on participating in the implementation of the EU Pay Transparency Directive. You will provide technical and analytical support as well as subject matter advice to the business managers and HR, across multiple Operating Companies. Your job will also require analysing and manipulating complex datasets and ability to translate unstructured information into meaningful business decisions. This position requires daily contact with broader HR team as well as with Finance, Legal and management.
The successful candidate in this role should enjoy highly analytical work and problem solving in a dynamic environment, with the ability to own and prioritize multiple assignments and changing priorities.
Job Responsibilities
- Participate in the implementation of the EU Pay Transparency Directive for 15 different legal entities in 4 different Operating Companies across EMEA with strong focus on compensation analysis and reporting including gender pay and pay equity
- Evaluate current Total Rewards policies and programs, against internal and external market best practices, recommend harmonization and alignment to ensure supporting pay equity requirements
- Support the preparation of internal audit on existing pay equity position for each of the 15 different legal entities. Work on identifying gaps to the legislation and planning on how the gaps will be closed. Includes the preparation of detail cost models by LE.
- Support the implementation of new pay transparency reporting tool, in order to meet individual employees’ requests for statements and position to peers.
- Total Rewards SPOC for Romania, including handling of business requests for compensation and benefits management
- Build strong, lasting relationships within Total Rewards, People and all relevant key stakeholders
- Handle restructuring of employee’s Total Rewards (e.g., due to relocation) as per internal policies and programs
- Ensure compliance with Country legislation for all Total Rewards programs and policies
- Review and update Benefits and Recognition programs, policies, procedures according to company’s requirements
Required skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Total Rewards / Compensation & Benefits in a multinational environment
- Proficiency in all MS-Office products required, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with HR systems, preferably WorkDay, working knowledge of Total Rewards systems and tools is a plus: Payscale MarketPay, Darwin, AskNow, job evaluation methodologies
- High level of proficiency in HR analytics and data interpretation
- Strong attention to details and a high level of accuracy
- Understanding and awareness of compensation and benefits trends and statutory requirements in the EMEA region and globally
- Ability to handle confidential information with complete discretion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English required, reading, writing and speaking
- Proactivity and sense of ownership
