Technical Consultant – Storage and SAN Mexico

Job Summary

The Junior Technical Consultant Storage and SAN is responsible for supporting the designing, configuring, and implementing storage and SAN (Storage Area Network) solutions for the organization’s customers. This role involves supporting all collaborating efforts with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing IT environments while optimizing performance, scalability, and reliability. This is a hybrid role.

What You’ll Do:

 Assist in the configuration, deployment, and support of SAN (Storage Area Network) solutions for enterprise clients.

Learn to troubleshoot and resolve basic issues related to storage systems, connectivity, and performance.

Collaborate with senior consultants and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.

Participate in customer meetings and contribute to technical documentation and reporting.

Gain hands-on experience with Hitachi Vantara’s storage technologies and tools.

 What You will Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical Foundation: Basic understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, networking concepts, and virtualization.

Interest in Storage Technologies: Familiarity with or willingness to learn about storage protocols (iSCSI, FC, FCoE, NFS, SMB) and enterprise backup solutions.

Exposure to SAN environments or storage systems from vendors like Hitachi Vantara, Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, or IBM.

Awareness of SAN fabric design, zoning, and administration using Brocade or Cisco switches.

The candidate must be open to business travel and flexible to work outside standard office hours when necessary.
