Role Title:            Human Resources Internship followed by Human Resources Apprenticeship 

Reporting to:       Senior HR Business Partner 

Direct Reports:    None (matrix environment)

 

Role Purpose

This role will be for a 6 Month period as a intern, starting as soon as possible then will be converted to a HR Apprenticeship 

The HR Internship/apprentice role is a junior “generalist” role that will handle activities in many areas of human resources management for 2 different organizations counting more than 300 employees overall. Our highly international environment requires fluency in English.

 

Principal Accountabilities

The areas of work will include HR admin, labour law, employee representative institutions (works council, unions, health and safety committee), compensation and benefit, training and development, onboarding and internal communication, employee engagement etc…

Hitachi Vantara is made of several types of employee profiles and works in an international/ matrix environment. While our engine is the “sales force”, we do have numerous technical populations as well as “support functions” like HR, Legal, IT, Finance and Marketing to follow-up with.

One important part of the activity of the HR Intern will be the follow-up of the social plan of one of our manufacturing site following the closing of this site as our production has been reorganized globally, which will be handled directly with our Japanese team, and act as the counsel for the Japanese team: it will include the follow-up on all redeployments activities in liaise with the outplacement company.

Other activities will include the support to the French HR team in its day to day HR activity and specific more long-term projects to either localize Hitachi Vantara global programs or align to new local regulations.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience / Personal Attributes & Capabilities

  • Degree with a specialization in HR and/or Labor Law.
  • Languages: French: native. English: fluent.
  • Analytical mindset, rigor

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
