We represent Hitachi Vantara to enterprise clients across industries, establishing business relationships to understand customer challenges so that we can deliver profitable business for Hitachi products, services, and solutions. The role

As a Pre-Sales Consultant at Hitachi Vantara, you’ll be at the heart of our customer engagements—translating complex business challenges into impactful technology solutions. You’ll gather and analyze customer data, uncovering insights that shape tailored proposals and drive meaningful outcomes. Working closely with both external clients and internal teams you’ll map business processes and architect solutions that align with strategic goals.

You’ll also build and nurture relationships with third-party providers, ensuring we maximize every opportunity to deliver value and generate revenue. This role is about more than just technical expertise—it’s about collaboration, curiosity, and a passion for solving real-world problems. You’ll be a champion of change, a role model for solution selling, and a trusted advisor who helps customers unlock the full potential of their data.

What you’ll bring

  • 8+ years of experience in Consulting Pre-Sales within the Storage or High-Value Infrastructure Solutions industry
  • Strong technical background in Data Center infrastructure, with deep expertise in Storage and Object Storage technologies
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure including Servers, Virtualization (VMware), Containers, SAN, LAN/WAN, Business Continuity, and Data Protection
  • Experience with structured data platforms, SQL, and enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, SAP, and Oracle
  • Skilled in leading consultative workshops to uncover business value and drive solution alignment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills—confident in whiteboarding and tailoring content to diverse audiences
  • Personable, persuasive, and articulate—able to build trust and influence across customer stakeholders and internal teams
