Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) with expertise in digital advertising ecosystems and ad tech integrations. This role will act as the primary technical liaison between our platform, media buying partners (Meta, Google, Bing, TikTok), and clients. The TAM will ensure seamless integration of media buying APIs, tracking pixels, and tags, while providing both internal product support and external client assistance for technical onboarding and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
Platform & Integration Management
• Act as the technical point of contact for all integrations with major media buying platforms like Meta Ads, Google Ads, Bing Ads, and TikTok Ads.
• Collaborate with Product and Development teams to define and manage API integrations, ensuring alignment with platform updates and new features.
• Initiate and maintain technical conversations with partner platforms (Meta, Google, etc.) to resolve integration-related issues or escalate feature requests.
• Monitor and validate API performance, tracking data accuracy (e.g., cost, impressions, clicks), and troubleshoot discrepancies.
Client Technical Support
• Provide technical guidance to clients on implementing pixels (Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel), UET tags (Bing), and conversion tracking.
• Assist clients in setting up and troubleshooting tracking scripts, event configurations, and server-to-server integrations.
• Work with client teams to ensure successful onboarding and smooth ad campaign launches by verifying that tracking and data flow are functional.
Internal Collaboration
• Partner with Product Managers to provide feedback on product roadmap items, especially regarding integration requirements and API enhancements.
• Collaborate with Developers and QA teams to test new features, integrations, and data pipelines before release.
• Support Sales and Account Management teams with technical pre-sales queries, client demos, and integration-related consultations.
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution
• Investigate technical issues related to ad campaigns, pixel events, or tracking mismatches, and work with engineering teams to resolve them.
• Liaise directly with partner platform support (e.g., Facebook Marketing API support) for bug fixes, API limits, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain documentation for common integration workflows, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
• Conduct training sessions for internal teams on ad tech integrations, new API changes, and tracking best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends in digital advertising technology (e.g., cookie-less tracking, privacy regulations, API upgrades).
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 3–6 years of experience in ad tech, marketing technology, or a technical account management role.
• Hands-on experience with ad platform APIs (Facebook Marketing API, Google Ads API, Bing Ads API, TikTok Ads API).
• Strong understanding of tracking mechanisms like pixels, UET tags, GTM (Google Tag Manager), and server-side event tracking.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, or API request/response debugging (Postman, Chrome DevTools).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to ad tracking, attribution, and campaign data.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple integrations and client accounts simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
• Experience with multi-channel campaign management platforms or ad servers (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk).
• Knowledge of privacy frameworks like GDPR, CCPA, or iOS14+ SKAdNetwork.
• Experience with conversion APIs (Meta CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions).
• Familiarity with data visualization/reporting tools (Looker Studio, Tableau).
