The Quality Engineer will provide engineering solutions and ensure quality products to satisfy internal and external customers, by using data to drive improvements throughout the production floor. This position works cross functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain. This position requires a self-motivator who can manage time well and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system.
  • Develop quality dashboard to highlight/reduce/eliminate product failures.
  • Support continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
  • Monitor, compile, and drive action from First Pass Yield, Quality Nonconformances, and RMA data, with a cross-functional team, to improve failures.
  • Support FMEA design and analysis, as required
  • Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure products are in accordance with approved specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Navigate through various data collection systems
  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective actions.
  • Assist with capability studies on new products or existing in-house equipment Including Gage R&R
  • Communication of quality issues in all areas, and all shifts
  • Follow Q&EMS Policies, Procedures and Instructions
  • Assist JMA in minimizing its impact on the environment and preventing pollution through recycling efforts defined in the waste management programs and ensuring chemicals are managed in a manner that prevents spills. 
  • Manage temporary deviations across all Antenna related products
  • Requirements:

  • Advanced root cause analysis, problem solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistics (SPC, Probability, cPK, pPK)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills to lead and work with operational teams, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Superior project management and time management skills.
  • Self -motivated with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Lean Understanding (as a guide for implementing improvements) and demonstrated ability to create flow diagrams and process maps.
  • Reading and interpretations skills - ability to interpret technical documentation & testing specifications.
  • Technical writing skills
