About the role

We at Klarna are seeking an IAM Engineer with a strong foundation in identity and access management and a keen interest in cybersecurity and technological innovation. This role is ideal for professionals who excel in detail-oriented environments, possess robust problem-solving skills, and are dedicated to enhancing system security and efficiency. Your role will focus on ensuring secure access management, compliance, and the smooth integration of IAM solutions across the organization.

What You’ll Get To Do

  • Strategic IAM Implementation: Actively contribute to the execution of Klarna's IAM strategy, ensuring it is aligned with business objectives and responsive to the latest security threats. Identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities proactively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a technical liaison across departments, delivering IAM solutions that improve security and operational performance. Provide expertise and support for the integration of IAM technologies.
  • SSO and Federated Identities Enhancement: Enhance and manage our Single Sign-On (SSO) and federated identity mechanisms, aiming to streamline user access while maintaining stringent security protocols.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Standards: Monitor and ensure that our IAM practices meet all necessary regulatory and banking standards, maintaining our commitment to high-security benchmarks.
  • Project Management and Execution: Lead and deliver IAM projects, from planning through to successful deployment, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and project goals

    • Who you are

  • Relevant IAM Experience: You possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in identity and access management or a closely related field, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of IAM principles and technologies.
  • Expertise in SSO and Federated Identities: You have practical experience with implementing and optimizing SSO and federated identity systems, with a focus on security and user experience.
  • Access Control Proficiency: You are familiar with the design and implementation of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) frameworks.
  • Technical and Architectural Skills: You bring a proven track record in developing and managing secure, scalable IAM solutions that cater to the specific needs of an organization.
  • Communication and Collaboration: You have exceptional communication abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams, translating complex IAM requirements into practical, actionable strategies.
