We are seeking to hire a full-time Benefits Specialist. This position is responsible for administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, COBRA, leaves of absence, HSA/FSA and 401(k) plan.
Responsibilities:
Administer and communicate benefits program including plan options, policy features, enrolment, and other requirementsCompile, analyze and process data for the 401(k) annual auditAdminister the implementation of the Benefits Administration System by reviewing data, carrier files and performing system testingReview and audit benefit enrolments on all vendor invoicesAdminister the ACA to ensure accuracy and complianceHandle routine benefits, and leave of absence questions from employees, and be able to resolve complex and escalated benefit and leave issuesEnsure accuracy of all benefits enrolments in the benefit administration system to provide vendors with accurate eligibility informationEnsure employee benefits records compliant with all required laws, regulations and internal policiesAssist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changesProcess and administer leave-of-absence requests with leave administratorInterpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilitiesRespond to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrolments, plan changes and contribution amountsManage and maintain vendor relationships ensuring customer service levels are metAssist with the open enrolment processParticipate in the launch of new or updated benefit programsRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field required3-5 years’ experience in Benefits and/or Workday highly desiredExperience working in a fast paced, high-growth companyDemonstrated knowledge of health and welfare plans, life and disability insurance plans, and retirement plansMust be proficient in intermediate/advanced ExcelWorking knowledge of statutory benefits requirements including COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and IRS rulesAbility to work with sensitive and confidential data with a demonstrated practice of maintaining employee confidentiality and HIPAA compliance requirementsExcellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate, develop partnerships and encourage trust in employees, team members, leaders, and vendorsStrong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issuesStrong time management skills within a remote work environmentLocation Tagging: #US
