About the role

We are looking for a Senior Operations Associate to join our Ireland operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Operations manager in the smooth running of our business. You should be diligent with a keen attention to detail and a track record of seeing tasks/projects through to conclusion. The ideal candidate should have experience working in an operations role within a fintech for at least 3-5 years.

This role is preferred based out of Dublin, but can be Remote for highly-qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Operations manager to execute the expansion of Kraken’s operating infrastructure and business products in Europe.
  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of Kraken platforms in Europe.
  • Support the execution of continental product and new-market initiatives by providing cross-functional program management to ensure a seamless transition from strategic opportunity development to revenue realization.
  • Work cross-functionally with finance, and legal teams to maximize regulatory, tax, and strategic partnership opportunities. 
  • Provide project management support to the Operations manager to implement regional initiatives.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of operational best practices, and develop the corporate resources, processes, and standards to implement them across European markets.  
  • Bring structure and clarity to complex, often ambiguous operational issues.
  • Execute program-level work while keeping deadlines.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelors (or equivalent) and/or graduate degree in a relevant  field
  • 3+ years of fintech or regulated financial services experience
  • Strong interest in and familiarity with both cryptocurrency and traditional financial industries 
  • Solid track record of previous achievements 
  • Analytical and Structured. Having the ability to solve complex business problems 
  • Knowledge of the Irish and EU regulatory environment, and upcoming developments is preferred
  • Familiarity with anti-money laundering and know-your-customer best practices in IE/EU markets is a bonus
  • Proven ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to a varied audience
  • Experience navigating complex operational hurdles in hyper-growth companies
  • Excellent proficiency in written and verbal English communication; knowledge of other languages an asset
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Preferred experience in Python, SQL, and/or Tableau
