About the Role
This role is remote and can be based in North America and Europe
Cryptowatch’s QA is responsible for quality control across Cryptowatch's client-facing products. This role works with all disciplines to develop comprehensive testing plans for product development, use those plans to test products through the development cycle and manage critical process checks to validate and document successful releases. The candidate should be a reliable independent lead that can collaborate with managers, designers and engineers to help hit their release aims.
Responsibilities:
Test new product features and bug fixes in the functional areas of our mobile application such as:Account setupFinancial management operationsVarious user interfacesWidgetsPerform validation and exploratory development test coverage necessary to ensure the operation and correctness of new product features as well as overall system behavior (i.e. regression testing)Plan and execute test cases based on input from product managers and developersExecute various phase of functional and nonfunctional testing to certify the quality of new software releasesLog, track, and assign bugs in a bug database, and follow up to ensure that issues are reviewed and addressed in a timely mannerEnsure documentation and full traceback of any issueConfirm functionality across multiple devices (iOS, Android)Work with Product and Engineering teams to further build out/improve QA pipeline
Requirements:
At least 5 years experience in quality assuranceComprehensive understanding of QA processes and have experience with agile/scrum practicesStrong quality sense and experience working closely with mobile development teams on native mobile applicationsAble to create and execute test plans and test cases to verify new and existing (regression) software functionalitySelf-motivated with strong critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skillsExcellent communication skills and experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams of product managers, designers, and engineers
Nice to Have
Familiarity with consumer centric mobile app testingExperience with mobile testing frameworks/tools Trading and/or financial industry experienceInterest and knowledge in the crypto industrySelf-drive to improve the app experience above and beyond what’s outlined in the specFamiliarity with bug reporting systems like JiraFamiliarity with test case management software like TestRailLocation Tagging: #US #EU
