  • Support initiatives related to system development and remediation activities to ensure regulatory compliance, process improvements, and risk mitigation
  • Supporting project managers as SME on implementation of regulatory requirements, recognizing complex tax technical and process issues and escalating to the appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Reviewing, providing feedback, and documenting the process around client and business partner tax documentation such as Forms W-8, W-9, and FATCA/CRS self-certifications
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of Form 1099, 1042-S, 945, 1042, FATCA, CRS reports and other tax filings
  • Assist with research of international, federal, state and local tax information reporting audit issues and assembling responses to taxing authority (e.g., IRS) inquiries
  • Prepare internal training and seminars on regulatory issues
  • Who you are:

  • 4-5+ years of experience in the banking, custodial, financial services, or FinTech industries
  • 1+ years experience with operational taxes: US tax withholding and reporting (Sec 3406, Chapter 61, Chapter 3, Chapter 4), FATCA, CRS
  • Strong analytical, financial, and data analytics/manipulation skills are required, with superior attention to detail
  • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills, thinking of the consequences of decisions 10 steps into the future
  • Familiarity with corporate tax law and US GAAP accounting principles is preferred
  • Have the courage and creativity to lead the way when there may not be a clear path
  • Have the ability to place trust in others who may not be tax or finance professionals
