The Vulnerability Management Engineer will be responsible for the proactive monitoring of enterprise security and risk posture of production systems and infrastructure, while identifying anomalies for further investigation.

The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.  Desired areas of knowledge include vulnerability assessment tools, intrusion prevention and detection, access control and authorization, firewall rulesets, encryption, web-filtering, advanced threat protection and cloud security.


Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Working knowledge on cyber security organization practices, threat & vulnerability management and best practices.
  • Ability to work with vendors for implementing new configurations and troubleshooting issues on scanning utilities.
  • Knowledge of various operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, etc.) and networking technologies commonly deployed to enterprise networks and accompanying vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of managing asset lists.
  • Knowledge of third-party vulnerability management tools for reporting and operations.
  • Extensive knowledge in cloud computing, Tenable.IO and Nessus.
  • Strong conceptual and practical understanding of IT infrastructure designs, technologies, products, and services.  This should include knowledge of networking fundamentals, protocols, firewall functionality, databases and other technologies.
  • Knowledge of incident management and patching processes.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership or assigned tasks.
  • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
  • 2-4 years experience in cyber security vulnerability management job roles and responsibilities.
  • Developing quality and meaningful deliverables that suit specific company and management needs.
  • Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks and working collaboratively with teammates to identify and solve key constraints, vulnerabilities and risks.
