We are expanding in Germany and are seeking a Finance Manager/Lead to be based in Berlin, Germany. The ideal candidate has experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments and can help scale and manage our rapid growth across Germany. We are seeking someone with strong leadership abilities and hands-on experience in managing financial operations.

What you will do:

  • Manage the daily operations of the Finance and Accounting Department
  • Perform Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes for the Germany operation
  • Organise, control and define the proper process for local invoicing, finance and collections
  • Liaise with external parties, including but not limited to customers, vendors, lawyers, tax or government authorities, etc
  • Support and orientation for all internal areas regarding financial/business processes
  • Manage the day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the Finance and Accounting Department
  • Coordinate with suppliers of payment platforms and invoicing platforms locally
  • Prepare the financial information required by the local authorities
  • Participate in internal control testing and some transactional tax activities.
  • Contribute to timely and efficient communication with stakeholders to identify and discuss issues and suggestions for improvement
  • Prepare cash flow reports, financial reports such as Forecasts, Budgets and Actual results, performing a thorough investigation and analysis over collected data;
  • Perform financial review & analysis, budgeting, planning, capital expenditure and investment return analysis on a group level basis
  • Perform month-end reconciliation and analysis, including but not limited to fixed assets and bank statements
  • Support the financial leadership team with financial aspects of project funding and risk assessment.
  • Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance, ideally including at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Fluent in English for communication across the group; proficiency in German at a business professional level.
  • Strong German taxation regulations and CPA certification are highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and solid analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented mindset: determined and assertive, with the ability to dive deep into complex cost drivers and financial data.
  • Hands-on approach and “get things done” attitude: able to work closely with budget owners and the group consolidation team to deliver accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial information.
  • Strong sense of prioritisation and a structured, organised mindset: able to manage workloads effectively and meet strict reporting deadlines.
  • Autonomous and adaptable: comfortable working through operational challenges and collaborating with project teams and other stakeholders.
