This Associate Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for the operational uptime and continued expansion of LogicMonitor's production of the TechOps infrastructure by serving as a technical facilitator of operational excellence. Responsibilities include design and implement new production deployments of SOA-based software across global physical and cloud data centers as well as provide guidance in organizing, securing and automating existing infrastructure and deployments. A successful Associate Site Reliability Engineer will produce all required functionality in a timely manner and will communicate and work with colleagues to solve problems and improve the systems they work with.

Here's a closer look at this key role:

  • Maintain uptime of LogicMonitor's SaaS based service and drive technical/process enhancements to improve uptime
  • Deploy production applications and drive improvements to the deployment process
  • Ensure security of the production environment
  • Write code to automate various aspects of infrastructure maintenance and and deployments
  • Support development and work closely with developers to drive operational and architecture/design changes
  • Providing alignment between business objectives and the team's pursuit of technology improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other groups within LogicMonitor to help ensure the forward trajectory of company
  • Prioritize and plan for deliverables in an iterative development strategy.
  • Document, code, and test technical solutions and enhancements for existing systems, bringing a new perspective and a willingness to improve.
  • Follow agile software development methodologies for implementation.  
  • Work with various teams in LogicMonitor to deliver software products that support LogicMonitor's business growth.
  • Constantly work towards career growth and learning opportunities. There will be a lot of technologies to absorb and we want someone who is motivated and able to learn quickly.  
What You'll Need:
  • Project experience (~1 year) working in a Linux environment
  • BS or above degree in computer science or related field. 
  • Familiar with the understanding of various software application stacks
  • Able to quickly develop competencies, in numerous technologies (learn fast!)
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity, innovation, or problem-solving.
  • Ability to work with a development team and develop strong, reliable, and effective relationships with team members
  • Excellent in communication (written and verbal) and collaboration with other functional teams (Support Engineering, Tools, Product, etc.).
  • Capable of thoughtful analysis of the costs and benefits of the work being done, with an eye towards maximizing customer utility
