The Opportunity:
This is an excellent full-time entry-level opportunity for a top-quality, career-minded individual to work directly with top-performing real estate agents as a Research Assistant in the Ottawa Office. It is also an excellent opportunity to grow into a career with a substantial upside.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performing commercial real estate property research using in-house and third-party software tools
  • Supporting the sales team in pursuing new business opportunities by preparing offering packages with minimal supervision
  • Calling on property owners to confirm property ownership
  • Cold calling to set up meetings with potential clients
  • Preparing presentations and pitch materials for new business pursuits
  • Updating and maintaining property and ownership information into REA databases
  • Evaluating due diligence materials including leases, financial statements and other documents related to the operation of commercial real estate assets
  • Gathering and evaluating economic, demographic and real estate market data for input into project-specific deliverables
  • Assisting in the due diligence and closing process
  • Potential to grow into a licensed sales production role
  • Requirements:

  • Solid written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer orientation and proficiency with Excel and Word software is required
  • Skills, Training, or Qualifications:

  • Previous Research/Real Estate Assistant Experience preferred but not required
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables
  • Database input and maintenance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, effectively manage time and workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Re-prioritize tasks daily given varying team requirements
