Job Summary

Medmen security officer will be responsible for the security of Medmen personnel and property. Officers are required to interact with Medmen clients to provide a safe environment while giving the utmost customer service. The Medmen security officer is very often the first interaction that our customers have with Medmen, for this reason they must be customer service orientated and professional in appearance and presentation.

Job Functions

  • Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures.
  • Securing premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points.
  • Investigating security breaches, incidents, and other issues as directed.
  • Controls parking lot by assisting drivers.
  • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
  • Interviews witnesses and obtains statements as needed.
  • Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
  • May be required to operate or inspect security equipment
  • Must become conversant with appropriate laws in relation to the security requirements affecting the security of Medmen facilities
  • Check clients into the facility as required
  • Alerting authorities if needed for emergencies or security breaches
  • Follow directions of store management
  • Check in clients as directed by store manager

Basic Qualifications

  • Posses current Arizona State Guard Card.
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • Possession of current driving license
  • Must be able to stand and / walk for the majority of their shift
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent sense of judgment
  • Stay alert at all times
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must Satisfactory pass a Criminal Record Check
  • Must be able to work a variable shift schedule including night shifts
  • Work overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security, Military or Law enforcement experience preferred
  • Prior security experience in the cannabis industry
  • Bi – lingual in English and Spanish
  • Working knowledge of security systems

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Working Conditions

  • Physical lifting up to 20 pounds
  • Long periods of standing and walking
  • Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Will be required to work outside during the majority of the shift in all weather conditions

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand; walk;  use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.)
