Job Overview 

The Mexico Attorney will support the Mitratech legal team by managing commercial contracts globally, including drafting and redlining commercial documents, interpreting rights and obligations in existing contracts, and coordinating with the sales team during negotiation cycles. At Mitratech, the legal team sees itself as a partner of the rest of the business, looking to responsibly help the company achieve its objectives. A successful candidate will exhibit strong critical thinking skills to develop practical solutions to complex issues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review and assist in the editing and negotiating of third-party vendor agreements
  • Draft and redline commercial agreements, including order forms, amendments, SOWs, collaboration agreements, master service agreements, and NDAs to meet the business needs of the organization.
  • Assist in the research in different laws in Mexico and Latin American countries, with a focus on commercial and employment laws
  • Work closely with global members of the sales, professional services, security operations, finance, accounting, and hosting teams.
  • Understanding of moderate to complex legal terminology has experience drafting contracts and knowledge of business needs within the software industry.
  • Regularly update team documentation, including Legal and Sales training materials.
  • Manage a moderate to high volume of contract drafting with input/direction from Legal team members.
  • Assist with the integration of acquired companies and work with Sales teams to align company practices.
  • Assist with corporate filings and entity management.
  • Perform research on updated regulations to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Reviewing fully executed agreements to answer questions from internal stakeholders regarding the company’s contractual rights and obligations.
  • Provide support for routine questions and inquiries received from internal clients.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English and Spanish
  • Superior organizational skills to prioritize work appropriately.
  • Strong reading comprehension skills, especially as they relate to legal documents.
  • Proficiency in acting as a liaison with sales, prospects, and clients.
  • Must be able to work in a high-paced environment handling multiple tasks concurrently with great attention to detail.
  • Must demonstrate ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality of projects, legal, and business information at all times.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with DocuSign, SharePoint, Conga, and Salesforce, preferred but not required. Ability to learn these systems is required.
