Job Overview

Mitratech is hiring a Software Engineer II to join the Circa product team of highly motivated developers focused on rebuilding some of the core features that help our customers maintain OFCCP compliance and build diverse workforces. We utilize modern technologies and are passionate about continuous improvement, collaborative teamwork, and agile delivery.

About You

  • You're excited to create software solutions for complex and evolving problems. You're curious and always learning. You are confident releasing code in an environment with automated tests and an agile process. 
  • You are comfortable writing solutions in C# for the .NET Core platform, feeling fluent in the core API. You’re familiar with containerization and cloud computing concepts. You participate in architectural discussions with a team of developers, unafraid to both voice your opinion and make space for others to contribute.
  • You’re excited to present your team’s work to stakeholders to share progress and ask for feedback.
  • You have experience in software development and know that it’s more than just writing code. You appreciate the craft and art of the process. You understand the value of automated tests and Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • You have some familiarity with the concept of reading “legacy” code and can articulate findings to others. You like to involve others in your development process through design sessions, pair programming, swarming, or other means when useful.

 

About the Position

  • You'll be developing high performance, secure backend systems in .NET Core and flexible, usable, and accessible frontend applications in VueJS.
  • You'll participate in an Agile software process that encourages creativity, collaboration, and iteration.
  •  You'll reverse engineer legacy code and either make changes to this code or find ways to recreate and improve the functionality in our new technology stack.
  • You'll help make architectural decisions for greenfield solutions.

Technology Stack:

  • VueJS/Vuetify.js
  • C# (.NET Core)
  • Docker
  • SQL Server/PostgreSQL
  • Microsoft Azure

Most days will involve:

  • A team standup to discuss projects and roadblocks
  • Collaboration with other members of the Tech Leadership Team and business stakeholders
  • Guiding members of your team through roadblocks and removing team impediments to keep your team executing and delivering high-quality solutions

Weekly activities may include:

  • Participating in team demos, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Offering input and guidance in team design sessions
  • Helping the team examine how it’s working and how its processes could be improved
  • Holding one on one meetings with your team members to build relationships and support their continued growth and development

On a more monthly basis:

  • Attending and presenting at cross functional team showcases
  • Developing, sharing, and promoting technical and process-oriented best practices with the entire App Dev organization
  • Working with other business units as needed
