About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Content Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with content-producing teams across Marketing to ensure that our YouTube content effectively reaches our target audience. From strategic digital touchpoints to field marketing programs, this position demands expertise in channel best practices, content distribution, analytics, and audience engagement, balanced with creative ideation and execution to maximize the impact of our content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • YouTube Channel Management: Manage and optimize MongoDB’s YouTube channel, ensuring alignment with the brand's objectives and audience interests
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze video performance using YouTube analytics and other relevant tools, providing valuable insights and recommendations for content programming and video reach and engagement
  • SEO Strategy: Optimize video metadata and evolve SEO strategies to enhance video discoverability on YouTube and other platforms
  • Audience Engagement: Actively engage with the YouTube audience by partnering with subject matter experts to foster a sense of community around MongoDB's content
  • Audience Growth: Implement strategies to grow MongoDB's YouTube subscriber base and increase video viewership across multiple channels
  • Leverage Emerging Platform and Tooling: Ideate with content creators to recommend creative methods and test new strategies in conjunction with new or upcoming YouTube platform features
  • Video Optimization and Upload: Advise video creators and upload videos on YouTube with an eye for systematic optimization of video titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails for improved search visibility and audience engagement
  • Content Consistency: Develop and maintain content schedules to ensure consistent and timely release of videos, considering optimal posting times and audience behavior
  • Cross-Channel Video Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote and experiment with videos across various digital channels, including web experiences, social media, email marketing, etc
  • YouTube Algorithm Updates: Stay updated with changes in YouTube's algorithms and adopt best practices to adapt content distribution and maintenance strategies accordingly

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years experience
  • Proven experience managing and optimizing YouTube channels and content distribution, preferably within the media or entertainment industry
  • Strong familiarity with YouTube analytics and SEO best practices
  • Well-versed understanding of YouTube's algorithms and platform features
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Ability to work independently and meet content scheduling deadlines
  • A passion for digital media, YouTube, and audience engagement

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:
$70,000$138,000 USD
