As the Manager, Travel & Expense, you'll be responsible for leading the Global Expense team based in Gurgaon, India. This position will play a key role in helping to build MongoDB’s Travel and Expense function, managing compliance with Travel and Expense policy, and working on all change management projects on Expense and Card programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop team members by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Prepare and present T&E-related KPIs to stakeholders, different departments, and all levels of Internal management
  • Build strong employees and stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to apply judgment to balance policy with achievement of business objectives and user experience
  • Ensure that all expense reports submitted by employees are reviewed for overall T&E policy compliance
  • Ensure timely completion of Month/Quarter/Year close activities, Daily/Weekly Expense payments, and Accrual posting, if any
  • Prepare required Reconciliation, rectification, and reclass entries
  • Design and implement new policies and procedures that are strongly aligned with MongoDB’s goals
  • Ensure SOX audit compliance 
  • Adherence to US GAAP with respect to all accounting interpretations and applications, Work cross-functionally and interacting with all levels of management and employees

Educational Background:

  • Commerce/Accounts graduate with at least 10 years + of experience in Finance Domain with 5+ years of T&E experience - Required 

Professional Experience:

  • Proven people leadership skills
  • Sound knowledge of the end-to-end T&E workflow, including, Audits, Payment runs, Query handling, Card reconciliations,and Internal controls
  • Experience using Concur and/or other similar Travel & Expense management tools
  • A proven data-driven approach
