Atlas Vector Search enables developers to harness the power of Generative AI by making it easy to integrate proprietary data with large language models that enable intelligent and interactive experiences. We’re building out the internal team responsible for transforming how we go to market in order to take advantage of these tailwinds from these two key products and beyond. 

We are seeking a Principal, Platform Strategy & GTM to drive strategic and operational initiatives for our Search business reporting directly to the VP of Platform Strategy and Go to Market. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of product, analytics, sales, and our go to market operations teams, working closely with internal stakeholders and our senior executive team to identify and solve complex business problems. This is a high exposure role with partnerships across and at all levels of the organization, all the way up to the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional strategic and operational initiatives to drive the adoption of Atlas Search both internally and externally
  • Partner across product, go-to-market, and operations teams to develop and execute coherent go-to-market strategies 
  • Partner with our analytics and operations teams to build and maintain a complete picture of the Search business both internally and externally, empowering our cross-functional teams to execute in a coordinated manner towards our North Star goals
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to surface insights that drive strategic direction and operational decision-making
  • Lead and drive preparation for periodic executive business reviews
  • Build strong relationships across the company to understand the relevant questions and needs, using that knowledge to inform analyses and strategic direction
  • Effectively communicate insights, strategic recommendations, and operational plans to both technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

  • BA/BS; MBA is a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in business strategy and operations with 4+ years as a management consultant or in a product or strategy leadership role at a technology company; SaaS experience a plus
  • Proven track record of using data to drive business decisions including the ability to structure problems for analysis
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize strategic insights in an actionable and compelling manner; experience in engaging and communicating with executive-level stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel and Google Slides or PowerPoint skills
  • Confidence using SQL for fetching and manipulating data; experience with a scripting language such as Python or R is a plus
  • Ability to move quickly and iterate on analyses
    Comfort with ambiguity and ability to work in a self-guided manner

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:
$146,000$286,000 USD
