We are looking for hardworking technologists to join our Pre-Sales organization to ensure that our growth is grounded and guided by strong technical alignment with our platform and the needs of our customers

MongoDB Partner Solutions team Solutions Architects are responsible for working with cloud platform partners (AWS, GCP, Azure) on solutions and integrations to drive the joint value proposition for MongoDB and the respective partners. Our team is made up of seasoned software architects who use their comprehensive understanding of the cloud technology landscape to identify opportunities to incorporate the unique value proposition of MongoDB into strategic joint go-to-market activities. You will be driving joint solutions and integrations working alongside programs, product and marketing teams. You'll be a trusted advisor in collaborating with experienced architects at our cloud partners to build joint solutions across a variety of industries and use cases to serve organizations from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises. 


As an ideal candidate, you will have

  • Professional experience could be 10+ years, should have a strong software development background, and 3+ years of pre-sales experience with enterprise software
  • 3+ years of experience working with AWS (Azure and GCP is a plus)
  • Working knowledge and ability to code with a modern scripting languages (e.g. Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, C#) 
  • Experience with scalable and highly available distributed systems 
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills 
  • The ability to travel up to 30%
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience


As an ideal candidate, you may also have

  • Experience selling databases and/or deploying applications with any of the major cloud providers 
  • Experience with data modeling and programming database-backed applications
  • Cloud provider certification (Associate or Professional)
  • A MongoDB Certification.


What you do at MongoDB

  • You partner with our ISV/OEM account teams to help ensure success in closing new strategic partners and growing existing ones.
  • You align with MongoDB field teams in conjunction with partner sales teams to help end customers realize the combined value of MongoDB and our partners to solve their business problems. 
  • You work with partner onboarding teams to qualify new partners in terms of integration and offering.
  • You work on defining joint value propositions with our partners and work with them to demonstrate it via technical blogs, webinars and live events. 
  • You work with product teams with specific feedback from partners that use MongoDB to help move the innovation forward. 
  • You understand the importance of a strong sense of urgency reflected through ability to drive partner demand within the sales territory
  • You align with strategic partners on a continuous basis to advise on best practices and feedback. 
  • You have a strong understanding of partner business model, value, and needs
  • You successfully build and maintain effective relationships within partner technical teams, gaining their trust and influencing their decisions
  • You demonstrate the ability to anticipate and respond appropriately to partner objections
  • You are seen as a “Trusted Advisor” with technical partner stakeholders
  • You participates in C-level partner conversations
  • You align to provide proactive responses to help partners understand the solution and identify positive business outcomes
  • You are the subject matter expert for the cloud partner in the MongoDB Solutions Architecture community, brought in to all technical discussions with the cloud provider as well as in to limited customer engagements when deep specialized expertise in that cloud platform is required.

  • Modern and popular architecture design patterns, methodologies and concerns e.g. microservices, event-driven architectures, DevOps, Serverless, security
  • Sales techniques and related soft skills - presentations, demonstrations, whiteboarding, discovery, objection handling
  • Exposure to a wide variety of market verticals and broad spectrum of interesting use cases
