General Purpose

With a strong commitment to fostering a positive and productive work environment, MongoDB is seeking a Senior Workplace Manager to lead our workplace operations in our New York City office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping our workplace strategy and creating a thriving atmosphere for our employees. This is a full-time position and will help support the 850+ on site employees across a variety of teams.

  • Support the Director of Workplace and Global Workplace Program with business projects and initiatives
  • Oversee and manage our NYC Headquarters
  • Supervise, support and develop the local workplace team
  • Create and implement systems and processes to streamline operations. Ensure the effective documentation and development of building and facilities information
  • Builds change management plans of varying scope and type; lead or participate in a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives
  • Review and approve invoices inline with budget, manage expectations, office service requests and office operating costs in line with budget
  • Identify, develop, recommend and implement cost saving opportunities and seek approval for recommendations. Strive for cost effective solutions and ROIs for future planning
  • Manage any escalations with local vendors; own relationships with key operational vendors in the local market
  • Champion strategies to ensure that the organization’s culture, systems, and processes support an environment that is inclusive for all and where employees feel able to contribute their fullest. Leverage diversity and inclusion as a tool to design and implement employee programs and services
  • Handle office service requests, space utilization and office specific operating expense 
  • Oversee cleaning services, food service operations and the repair and maintenance of equipment while building, maintaining and managing local vendor relationships

We’re looking for someone with…

  • 5+ years office management/facility operations experience
  • Experience in leading and guiding teams of individuals
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Flexible approach with superb interpersonal skills, both in verbal and written communications with an ability to effectively present information and communicate changes
  • Space management and programming experience

  • Highly organized with an attention to details and ability to multitask
  • A high degree of independent judgment and discretion in order to identify, diagnose, and solve problems while taking a team approach to daily office operations 

  • Proficient with Google Suite, MS office applications, Slack and Mac

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:
$76,000$149,000 USD
