Position Description:
The Manager, Events Marketing is the strategic and operational lead for all events at Motus. This role leads the end-to-end planning, execution, and optimization of events — including field events, trade shows, conferences, customer events, and other in-person and virtual events — to drive pipeline, elevate brand visibility, and support revenue growth. Reporting to the Senior Director of Growth, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and collaborators across Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, Finance, and partnering with external vendors.
Position Duties:
- Own and implement a comprehensive event marketing strategy, including field events, trade shows, customer events, conferences, and other in-person and virtual events
- Lead all pre-event, onsite, and post-event logistics and promotional activities to drive pipeline and other key event metrics
- Be transparent and proactive in communicating key event details, goals, breakthroughs, and information throughout the organization to ensure outstanding execution and pave the way for success.
- Develop and run the annual events calendar, goals, budgets, and performance metrics
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align on audience targeting, content, sales enablement, and follow-up plans
- Coordinate booth design, event materials, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, and staffing plans
- Track, measure, and report on pipeline generation, return on investment, lead quality, and overall event impact
- Build and maintain scalable event processes, playbooks, and documentation to ensure operational excellence
- Be a great partner with third-party vendors, agencies, and platforms to support event execution
- Optimize event processes and proactively recommend improvements to the event strategy and execution; measure efficiency and effectiveness
- Support event marketing efforts with key partners that align with and amplify the event strategy
- Communicate on the success of events and proactively build alignment across the organization
Success Metrics include:
- Pipeline and revenue attribution from event marketing
- Excelling at event execution: being timely, managing budgets, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction
- Strong internal alignment across Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams
- Illustrated value and optimization through event reporting and analytics
- Detailed, repeatable processes for events and partner support
- Growth in high-value teamwork around key events
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or related roles
- Shown success leading in-person and virtual events end-to-end
- Strong project management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Shown ability to lead multiple successful events simultaneously
- Strategic and creative problem solver adept at turning strategy into action
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally, aligning, and influencing without authority
- Experience running partner-marketing events is a plus
- Some proficiency with CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, HubSpot) is a plus
- Ability to travel up to 30% as needed
Where required by law, Motus provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The pay range for this role is $112,000 - $130,000. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
