About the Job:

The Intelligence Analyst is a key supporting role that is centered around helping to position Netskope’s advantages in the highly competitive cloud security markets. This role reports to the Head of Cyber Intelligence Strategy and will be focused on providing research and analysis aimed at competitor product strategies, capabilities, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. A key area of focus for this role will be to identify and articulate opportunities for improved cybersecurity risk reduction / threat reduction outcomes as a result of Netskope competitive advantage or as the result of competitor weaknesses and product gaps.  The role is a hands-on research, intelligence gathering, and technical communication position with responsibilities that require maintaining a contemporary view of cyber threats, threat actor TTPs (tactics, techniques and procedures), a broad understanding of process and technology countermeasures, and the ability to concisely communicate these topics to a variety of technical and business focused audiences. 

Partner with the global CxO strategy team, competitive intelligence, technical marketing engineering, threat labs, global security, and product teams to develop and drive research, analysis, and threat focused content and thought leadership; enabling the future of Netskope products, better outcomes in the field, and for our existing customers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide insights on competitors strategies, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
  • Using contemporary knowledge of threat landscape, actor TTPs, and response protocols; prepare a cadence of research and analysis outputs and thought leadership. 
  • Make presentations to internal stakeholders and external audiences.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop research and perform analysis on product improvement areas relating to evolving attack surfaces of our broad customer base. 
  • Identify and analyze new business opportunities in existing, adjacent, or new markets and businesses.
  • Attend industry conferences and provide reports on trends in the evolving cyber threat landscape, cybersecurity product innovations, and emerging innovations relating to cyber intelligence and threat mitigation strategies.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 6+ experience in a cyber intelligence, incident response, or threat intelligence analyst role with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Passion for working with technical individuals and a proven ability to distill complex concepts into easy to understand outputs for variable audiences. 
  • A contemporary view of the broad and evolving cyber threat landscape across varying industries; with a strong understanding of response and mitigation strategies. 
  • Strong background in technical research and analysis and the ability to distill deep technical topics for varying levels of technical audiences.
  • A passion for technology and innovation; a desire to solve big problems through better people, process and technology outcomes. 
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, creative) with a desire to develop strong messaging and thought leadership as part of the normal course of research and analysis work.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, confidently working on both strategy and tactics
  • Strong cybersecurity industry background; threat intelligence or incident response experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of threat intelligence, incident response, and the cybersecurity technology landscape. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong writing and content development experience
  • Willingness to work at least partially during U.S. business hours to align with team collaboration and project needs.
