About the role

To be successful in this role you must possess a combination of strong business acumen and technical skills as well as have a good understanding of network security and performance monitoring/digital experience monitoring technologies. You will be responsible for working closely with Netskope customers, field architects, virtual teams and other cross-functional teams to better understand customer problems and use cases. You will work with engineering and product managers to build impactful solutions and workflows for customers. You will also play a key role in understanding the customer mindset, environment, deployment scenarios and address their questions and concerns as well as document them to provide context for execution. It is expected that you will be able to take ownership of high priority escalations and bugs for strategic customers, communicate clear responses to them and ensure the highest priorities issues are addressed as quickly as is feasible.

Ideal candidates will be naturally hands-on and comfortable working with engineering, other product managers and the internal field teams to clearly capture customer pain points in easy to understand product requirements, and working with product managers and engineering teams to deliver results.

What you will be doing

  • Developing deep and trusted relationships with key customers, partners, field, engineering leads and other key stakeholders
  • Ensuring that Netskope existing capabilities and strengths are clearly articulated and efficiently and scalably delivered for the field and for customers (e.g. documentation, RFI/RFPs)
  • Working as a technical arm to the product management team in creating product requirements, and driving them with engineering
  • Maintaining competitive matrix and competitive intelligence materials
  • Increasing the win rate for new business by addressing key questions and issues, and updating customer facing documentation, sales guides and tools etc.
  • Increasing upsell and renewal opportunities by continually focusing on helping our customers operationalize and the get maximum value of their licensed Netskope products
  • Working closely with the customer success and support teams to help with product questions, product escalations etc. 
  • Leveraging labs and setting up different use cases to demonstrate product capabilities and value to customers, the field etc.
  • Identifying and sharing product gaps with the product pm for improvements
  • Rolling up yours sleeves and writing product requirements
  • Working with technical publications and other teams for technical content creation showcasing product capabilities and communicating value 
  • Developing compelling sales tools and marketing content, including blogs, to support sales and field marketing teams

Required skills and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role - TPM/TME/ or Solution Architect pre sales roles
  • Prior experience with APM, NPM or Digital Experience Monitoring products is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of network security technologies.
  • Hands-on experience running beta programs and partner integrations
  • A self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Product management experience is desirable but not mandatory
  • Previous experience in a technical role (e.g. technical marketing, system engineering, solutions architect, support, R&D) required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills leading, collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Experience representing the customer; experience being the champion and voice of customers by building impactful, personal relationships with customers, engineering teams, and the field, in addition to bringing the customer’s voice into the creation process.

Education

  • BSCS or equivalent required, MSCS or MBA strongly preferred
