Job Duties:               

Direct the design and evaluation of technologies that enable business and consumer end-users to use networking, computing, and communication devices with ease in business environments. Manage the activities related to providing usability support to product teams. Manage a team of User Interface (UI) engineers by scheduling projects and overseeing their completion on time and with good quality. Coordinate integration testing between the UI team and backend engineers. Work with Customer Support to prioritize customer UI issues, determining which should go into a hotfix (immediate fix) and which should be scheduled for a future release. Oversee the design and development of web services code in PHP and front end code in JavaScript. Work with UI engineers to convert UX mockup to production code and use CSS to beautify the web interface. Work with product management to convert requirements to an end product. Collaborate with QA to fix bugs. Design database tables. Work with management team to provide estimates and initial assessment for proposed development tasks. Track and report progress of the project against key milestones to Program Management Office. Work with recruiter to hire and grow the team. Coach and mentor the team members and guide them to advance in their career path. Manage development teams including remote teams.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a staff software engineer-related occupation.

Special Requirements:

Position requires at least 3 years of experience in the following skills:

  • Lead features related to security and hardware platforms;
  • Development of web pages using java, gwt, smartgwt, javascript, ajax, html5, css using eclipse editor;
  • Use tools like bugzilla, jira, ant, reviewboard to develop and track projects;
  • Build backend server components using java, servlet, jetty, tomcat;
  • Write and execute system, functional and unit tests using junit and selenium;
  • Write high level design documents and functional specification using MS Visio.

Position requires at least 2 years of experience in the following skills: 

  • Utilize knowledge of html, html5, css, javascript, jQuery, angularjs to develop web applications on the customer side;
  • Utilize knowledge of tools and technologies like Jira, Confluence, Aha to gather requirements, schedule projects and track and project design;
  • Utilize knowledge of agile development process to manage an agile team and deliver product features.
