Maintain relationships with shippers and logistics service providers and coordinate freight pick-up and deliveries. 

Roles & Responsibilities
Daily Operation – Documentation Handling:
-Liaise with logistics service providers and customers to ensure on time deliveries.
-Manage shipping documentation for accuracy and the timely release of invoices from the customer.
-Maintain monitoring dashboard for all shipments processed to keep good tracking in the volume of activities.
-Help control on billing matters with logistics service providers to reduce the delay of payment processing to logistics service providers.

Vendor Management:
-Manage and monitor performance of logistics service providers to ensure on time delivery of shipments.
-Participate in vendor performance review to ensure vendor adherence to committed lead time.
-Support insurance claim which arises from logistics service providers or internal trucking to ensure maximum recovery on losses.
-Work jointly with logistics service providers as well as Management Team on transport plan deployment to minimize transition difficulties during implementation.

Customer Management:
-Liaise with internal and external customers on transportation matters to ensure smooth operations.
-Improve service level by identifying optimization of processes and procedures.

Freight Invoice Management:
-Receive weekly/monthly manual invoices from logistics service providers.
-Manual freight audit.
-Submit payment approval.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/ Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in the transport/freight forwarding/logistics field related to freight forwarding and logistics.
  • Logistics/third party logistics (3PL) industry know-how and background, conversant with commercial processes and operational viabilities.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills are necessary; strong team player.
