Reporting to the Head of Shared Services, the Finance Manager will be supporting the Region to drive the implementation and execution of strategic direction and operational requirements for the Shared Services Centre (“SSC”) in Southeast Asia.

The incumbent will contribute to the organization by providing support in the areas below:
- Support the Head of Shared Services to set up the SSC function or team in the Region and lead the transitioning of accounting duties from Country Finance to SSC.
- Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process flow charts for Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Record to Report (R2R) processes.
- Execute SSC's strategic goals and plan and ensure that the Service Level Agreement and objectives are achieved.
- Oversee and be responsible for the continuity and successful delivery of Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Record to Report (R2R) processes through SSC and proactively, identify, manage and monitor KPIs to drive accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables.
- Process lead for Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Record to Report (R2R) to identify, lead and implement process standardizations, process optimizations and streamline current practices to deliver quality and accelerated closing processes and maximize operational effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Drive transformation through process optimization via digitalization and enabling a more digital and better customer experience with data insights to improve and accelerate decision making.
- Take the lead in applying technical accounting principles for the Region and have good understanding of International Accounting Standards and/or US GAAP.
- Mentoring and providing guidance to the team.
- Work with the Regional Controlling team in developing and maintaining SSC related policies and procedures.
- Support Country, Regional Finance and SSC teams to perform the month-end closing which includes journals workings and supporting documents preparations and requests for journals and ensure the SSC team complete the monthly and yearly close process within the timelines provided.
- Partner with Country Finance and Regional Controlling for all reporting, controls and audit matters; ensure internal controls in place are in compliance with our Region’s policies and procedures and constantly seek improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage the relationships with finance and business teams across the group as part of the SSC’s general function.
- Oversee and responsible for the continuity and successful delivery of Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Record to Report (R2R) processes through SSC and proactively, identify, manage and monitor KPIs to drive accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables.
- Focal point in SSC to support Country and Regional Finance and collaborate with various teams to implement new initiatives, change processes, resolve issues, perform the month-end closing and ensure the SSC team complete the monthly and yearly close process within the timelines provided.
- Any other ad-hoc projects or tasks assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Support the month closing process for SSC functions which includes journal workings and supporting documents preparations and requests for journals in an efficient and timeliness manner.
  • Provide technical accounting leadership, interpreting existing and proposed accounting guidance and communicating its impact on our business and financial statements.
  • Coordinating with the Regional Controlling teams and country finance to ensure that country accounting policies are in-line with group policies.
  • Follow guidelines provided by Regional teams for the annual budgeting process.
  • Provide relevant financial analysis in related functions to support commercial decision-making to senior management.
  • Establish and maintain a robust controls environment that mitigates and minimizes financial risks.
  • Establish, maintain and review a suitable system of Process compliance.
  • Ensure all financial activities and reporting are in compliance with international and local financial regulations.
  • Ensure the effective development, implementation and evaluation of finance policies and procedures, ensuring their consistent and compliant application.
  • Support the annual audit process for all countries, prepare samples submission and handle all local audit queries.
  • Ensure and guide team members for the delivery of agreed service levels with stakeholders.
  • Ensure accountability for continuity and successful delivery of Order to Cash (O2C),
  • Procure to Pay (P2P) and Record to Report (R2R) processes through SSC.
  • Work with the country senior management, country and Regional Finance team.
  • Provide technical accounting support and advise appropriate accounting treatments to business stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, country finance teams and professional service vendors.
  • Manage, motivate, develop and lead the SSC team.
  • Provide leadership, direction, clear objectives, and meaningful feedback.
  • Build a culture of high performance.
  • Knowledge transfers of individual country tax regulations and accounting standards.
  • Proactively identify, propose and implement continuous improvement opportunities on process improvements and automations.
  • Lead ad hoc projects.
  • Requirements

  • At least 8 years of related Shared Service experience in Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to
  • Pay (P2P) and Record to Report (R2R) processes, preferably in logistics or e-commerce industries.
  • Prior experience in external audit.
  • Experience working with multinational organizations/environment especially in a high growth, rapidly changing culture.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
  • Strong internal control knowledge in processes and experience in developing and documenting SOPs and flowcharts.
  • Familiar with local tax laws, especially for SEA markets.
  • Leadership experience in managing a large team (>10 staff).
  • Experience in transformation in implementing process improvements and automations.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Knowledge of ERP system(s) e.g. Netsuite / SAP / Oracle would be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in automation and BI tools (ie Power BI and Tableu) would be an added advantage.
