We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Product Owner to join our delivery team.  To be successful in this role you will thrive in solving complex business problems and excel in driving requirements and prioritization of features for high performing development teams.   This is a technical product owner role, where you will be expected to understand and document detailed requirements for a project that is focused on delivering public facing API's.  This will require you to have a strong understanding of API's.  Some prior development experience is highly recommended.
 
Ideally you will have a strong background in software engineering, using your knowledge to work across various stakeholders and business functions to identify, define and deliver solutions that meet critical business needs.  You will work closely with technical teams, contributing to the technical solution, overseeing and coordinating with other members of the team to ensure successful delivery.

Day-to-Day:

  • Design and create product roadmap and features with an understanding of technical capabilities
  • Provide vision, success criteria, and direction to Agile delivery team and key stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
  • Map business requirement and identify milestones
  • Create, maintain and prioritize team backlog
  • Plan Developer workloads per sprint
  • Give input on story priority during releases/iteration/sprint planning
  • Work with development and business representatives to ensure requirements are being tested and met
  • Lead team demos and retrospectives
  • Educate project team (developers) on business value/impact of the project/product
  • Facilitate story mapping and use your agile mindset, being open to renegotiated priorities, facilitating change into the Dev teams
  • Initiate, lead and document cross-team, cross-component solution decisions
  • Write agile stories covering developer's technical tasks
  • Present Sprint Demo and PI Planning Demos
  • Be able to create value and sell ideas and contribute to product development
  • Work closely with the Delivery team to identify best practices, and monitor feature requests for new scope
  • About You:

  • 5-10 years of Technical Product Ownership experience
  • CSPO preferred
  • 2-3 years of software development experience
  • 2-5+ years of consulting company experience
  • Ability to model and understand API's
  • Have created related flow and API mapping documentation
  • Strong understanding of HTTP methods and responses
  • Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to translate high level topics to a technical level and back
  • Experience with user stories and experience working with an agile SDLC
  • Ability to create, maintain and drive to project milestones
  • Passion for technology and ability to thrive working on a fast-paced project
  • Ability to view problems holistically and communicate solutions to management
  • BA/BS+ degree, preferably in CS related major
