About the opportunity

Are you ready for your next career step? We are seeking a Senior Change Risk Associate to join our Risk Management team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in safeguarding N26's continual drive for integrity and dependability in the financial industry. This position is an opportunity to be at the forefront of non-financial risk management, ensuring that we are in full compliance with MaRisk AT 8.1, AT 8.2, and AT 8.3 regulations. You will be an integral part of our commitment to operational excellence, working closely with various stakeholders and driving continuous improvement in our risk management processes.

In this role, you will:

  • Continuously develop the adjustment & change risk framework to ensure operational resilience, process efficiency, and adherence to the latest legal and regulatory requirements. 
  • Ensure that processes for MaRisk AT 8.1, AT 8.2, and AT 8.3 are implemented and maintained according to regulation.
  • Develop our New-Product-Processes (NPP) based on the MARisk AT guidelines for our innovative products.
  • Accompany single adjustments & changes, providing expert guidance throughout the process.
  • Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for non-financial risk management, fielding and answering general process questions from adjustment owners.
  • Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders (Product Management, Project Management, CEO Office, Compliance, Anti-Financial Crime, Information Security Management, Business Continuity Management, Outsourcing, etc.) to facilitate effective risk management.
  • Continuously improve adjustment & change processes to provide management and advisory board with actionable insights on N26’s overall risk profile
  • perform process risk and control assessments for new and changed processes in our organisation

What you need to be successful:

Background: 

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or other relevant areas.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Non-Financial Risk Management, preferably gained in banking/financial services or in a consulting firm.
  • Experience in or sound knowledge of MaRisk Adjustment processes and standards applicable to the financial industry.

Skills: 

  • Strong understanding of banking operations and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, effective both on technical and managerial levels.
  • Analytical abilities to assess and manage risks, complemented by strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Creativity and critical thinking, with the ability to identify problems and propose solutions.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements and common industry standards.
  • Proven track record in project delivery.
  • An entrepreneurial vision, an autonomous attitude, and a ‘get things done’ approach.
  • Hands-on approach and eagerness to tackle new topics, demonstrating quick conceptual and strategic thinking.
  • Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.
