Role Overview
  

In the role of APAC Campaign Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for understanding corporate, APAC and country GTM strategies, products, roadmaps and applying these to form APAC marketing campaign strategies in the form of quarterly guidance playbooks consisting of priorities, budget, media mix, contact strategies messaging, assets and targeting.  You will then work with country and segment marketing leaders, the demand centre and marketing operations teams and related agencies to build and execute plans that lead to achieving pipeline and revenue targets for Okta in APAC.   

Organisational and executional skills, communication and teamwork will be key to success in this role. With limited guidance you will know what to do, when to do it and how to get each task done. 
 

What you’ll do: 

Strategy 

  • Establish and seek buy-in to the marketing plans.  Provide counsel and insights from past performance both within region and globally to help design initiatives relevant for APAC markets. Align with the relevant Country Marketing Teams and Product Marketing teams to deliver exceptional experiences to the target account set and contacts within that account set.  Developing a deep understanding of customers, personas, environments and products/strategies will be keys to your success. You will influence and rely on relationships with the global campaign teams, EMEA and Country marketing teams, product marketing and sales/marketing operations teams.  

Planning 

  • Establish quarterly plans that deliver segment level pipeline targets that lead to achieving bookings targets. Implementing innovative marketing approaches to improve return on marketing spend will be critical to success. 
     

Brand leadership 

  • Help position Okta as a thought leader in Identity Management. Work with the events, digital and communications teams to showcase Okta’s innovation and category leadership.  Promote use cases internally and externally with the local communications team to position Okta as leading the future of Identity Management.  
     

Campaign Excellence

  • Develop a forward-thinking, demand generation approaches. Work with global and cross-functional teams to develop campaign briefs that identify the strategic goals, target audience, assignments, timeline, key messaging, calls to action, proof points, insights. 
  • Successfully project manage campaigns from beginning to end by communicating frequently with the team; managing strict deadlines and priorities; and foreseeing/escalating speed. 
     
  • Work with the creative services team to develop/modify campaign concepts, messaging, imagine and campaign deliverables for the campaign and supporting programs. Collaborate with the Digital and Marketing Communication Insights teams to monitor results and mix-shift campaign execution, from messaging to audience targeting, based on progress against goals. 
     
  • Coordinate with Regional Marketing Managers in ANZ, Japan, Asia and Korea to deliver on an integrated demand plan that includes both globally and locally executed programs. Coordinate with the Corporate Communications teams to time campaigns appropriately for effective go to market launches. 
  • Regularly update key stakeholders on campaign plans, progress, program deliverables, and performance. 

Drive Innovation 

  • Introduce new marketing approaches, processes and optimisation techniques to better connect with customers in meaningful ways and thereby achieve results. You will proactively incorporate changes into your planning and work with the regional team to both request and adopt change. 
     

What you need to succeed:
  

  • 7+ years’ experience in Enterprise Marketing, preferably in the technology or software industry 
  • Proven experience working successfully in virtual and matrix teams 
  • Experience in developing and executing successful, demand-generating marketing campaigns (having designed and executed successful multi-touch nurture campaigns is preferred) 
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and ability thrive in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment 
  • Exceptional project management skills – you will need to be extremely organised, process-oriented, focused on time management, and can calmly manage risks 
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication and experience working across matrix organisations (working effectively with regional marketing, sales, and marketing operations will be keys to success) 
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written 
  • Resourcefulness and ability to anticipate issues and work through them, proactive nature 
  • Great follow through and attention to detail 
  • Experience working in an international organisation preferred 
  • Sound analytical skills – ability to leverage marketing KPIs to develop and drive successful campaigns 
  • Experience with project management solutions and marketing automation platforms (such as Marketo)
