ABOUT THE ROLE
Peloton is seeking an innovative and strategic Vice President, Product, Hardware to lead the design, development, and delivery of cutting-edge connected fitness devices. As a key member of the Product Development executive leadership team, you will define the hardware product strategy, ensuring seamless integration with software platforms to deliver exceptional user experiences. This role demands a deep understanding of connected technology, user-centric design, and a passion for revolutionizing fitness through innovative products.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
Strategic Leadership
● Define the vision and strategy for the hardware product portfolio, aligning it with the company’s mission to redefine fitness experiences.
● Own and prioritize the connected fitness hardware roadmap, balancing innovation, member needs, and external market trends.
● Stay ahead of technological advancements in connected devices, wearables, and IoT to shape product differentiation and leadership in the industry.
Product Development
● Influence the full product lifecycle of connected fitness devices, from ideation and prototyping to, launch, and post-launch optimization.
● Collaborate closely with software, product design and digital teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and digital ecosystems, creating a unified user experience.
● Drive the incorporation of advanced technologies to enhance product functionality and personalization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
● Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies that highlight hardware innovation and market benefits.
● Work closely with engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to meet stringent timelines, performance benchmarks, and manufacturing standards.
● Build and nurture partnerships with external vendors, technology providers, and manufacturing partners to drive innovation and scalability.
Team Leadership
● Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing hardware product team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and excellence.
● Establish a robust talent pipeline, ensuring the team has the skills and expertise to innovate and scale effectively.
Performance and Metrics
● Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product performance, customer satisfaction, and market adoption.
● Use data-driven insights to continuously refine and improve hardware products and processes.
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
Education and Experience
● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
● 15+ years of product management experience, with a focus on hardware for connected devices, fitness technology, or consumer electronics.
● Demonstrated success in launching hardware products with strong integration into software ecosystems.
Technical Expertise
● Expertise in connected devices, IoT, sensors, and fitness-related hardware.
● Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain logistics, and cost optimization for hardware products.
Leadership and Communication
● Proven ability to lead diverse teams and drive alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
● Exceptional communication skills, capable of presenting to C-suite executives, customers, and external partners.
● Experience leading global teams and navigating complex cross-functional environments.
Preferred Qualifications
● Deep knowledge of fitness, health, or wellness technology trends.
● Experience with data analytics, biometric sensors, and integrating AI/ML capabilities into hardware products.
● Familiarity with sustainability practices in hardware design and production
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range
329,300 - 439,000 USD
