As part of Penumbra’s legal team, you will support our busy legal group and growing business. With a strong focus on supporting our Clinical Affairs department, you will partner with all members of our Legal team, drafting and negotiating contracts and helping to implement best practices, process improvements, and company policies. 

What You'll Work On

  • Support clinical trial contractual negotiations to ensure appropriate business and legal terms, including triaging, reviewing, identifying issues for escalation and recommending contract language.
  • Manage and ensure on-time processing of all clinical contracts from initial request through execution in accordance with the project timelines.
  • Provide both Legal and Clinical Operations support in managing clinical contracting activities across multiple projects.
  • Assist with other Legal team contracts and Legal Compliance projects as needed.
  • Update playbooks and offer suggestions on process and system improvements to ensure efficiency of Legal contracting process.

    • What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in-house at a medical device or pharmaceutical company, or other company in a highly regulated industry is preferred
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a “can-do” attitude
  • Proactive, strategic and thoughtful problem solver
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and careful attention to detail
  • Ability to process a high volume of work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is essential
