The Customer Engagement/Marketing Manager will drive marketing activities for multi-disciplinary physicians, mid-level practitioners and healthcare providers for programs and society meetings. 

Working as part of a cross-functional team, this position combines day-to-day marketing activities with critical strategy, planning, and execution. 

There will be heavy emphasis on one-on-one communication and relationship building skills with customers, sales territory managers, medical societies, and society leadership. 

The Customer Engagement/Marketing Manager will work collaboratively to expand Penumbra’s presence. 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
•Manage continuing U.S. customer and field-oriented product support activities. 
•Participate in developing detailed marketing literature and other sales tools for the Penumbra products as assigned. 
•Represent company at tradeshow meetings and other programs to promote product. 
•Implement promotion strategies, ensuring accuracy of product communication content. 
•Collaborate with cross functional teams to successfully execute the Company objectives with program and society partnerships. 
•Collaborate with Penumbra Medical Education and Medical Societies to successfully implement and execute the Company objectives with program and society partnerships
•Articulate and reinforce high level positioning concepts to the customers. 
•Proactively prioritize, identify, assess, and critically summarize relevant scientific and medical literature across therapeutic areas and synthesize, assess, and communicate potential impact of key findings to internal stakeholders.
•Effective and consistent communication to customers and sales team
•Be personally knowledgeable of Penumbra’s products and customers’ anticipated uses.
•Be the expert in procedural knowledge, messaging, and collateral that is relevant in the medical society community.
•Be the expert in clinical data related to a particular therapy and stay current with relevant data to incorporate it into marketing efforts.
•Identify, organize, and collaborate with Penumbra events team to execute local/regional tradeshows & conferences, as well as other meetings, to promote product.
•Foster relationships with key customers at the regional and national level
•Assist in anticipating and responding to the needs of customers, competitive market updates, new techniques, and best practices for relevant podium representation.
•Collect and share intelligence with global marketing team on relevant competitive products, activities, and/or therapies for relevant products as presented during society meetings and conferences.
•Ensure that all customer engagement activities conform to company guidelines and local laws. 
•Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures. 
•Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
•Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
•Perform other work-related duties as assigned.


Position Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in business, biology, or related field with 3 + years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
•Experience with Marketing highly desired.
•MBA a plus, but not required
•Demonstrated collaboration skills in a team environment
•Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills required

Working Conditions
•General office environment or general remote environment
•Business travel from 50+% (U.S. willingness to travel overnight)
•Selected candidate is expected to be in the Alameda office when not on business travel.
•Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens
•Requires some lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds
•Must be able to move between buildings and floors
•Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day
•Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets
•Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed
•Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis

Annual Base Salary Range:  $82,000 - $125,000
This is as inclusive pay range for all US labor markets. We offer a competitive compensation package plus a benefits and equity program, when applicable. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
