You will be responsible for the general supervision of the fitness center including welcoming guests and ensuring that they have a safe and enjoyable experience.  This position is also responsible for maintaining the weights and cardiovascular fitness areas to make sure equipment is clean, functioning properly and used according to the rules of the facility.   

Hours working: 4am - 12:30pm, Monday to Friday

What You'll Work On

  • Set up, maintain and clean equipment
  • Welcome guests and explain programs and activities
  • Teach guests how to use the equipment, providing basic fitness information
  • Report and resolve complaints
  • Maintain attendance records
  • Ensure rules and regulations are enforced
  • Help promote facility activities and organize special events
  • Work with Healthy Penumbra Team to make the Fitness Center successful
  • Comply with quality system regulations, standards and procedures*
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

    • What You Bring

  • A desire to encapsulate a fun and safe environment
  • A minimum of 1 year of recreation, physical fitness or customer service experience
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. (At least 50 minutes per hour).
  • Working knowledge of standard office tools required
  • Effective oral and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all guests
