General Summary
Penumbra's Medical Education team works to build awareness and educate physicians about new technologies and opportunities to combat some of the most devastating diseases in the world. As our Medical Education Intern, you will support the MedEd Programs and Operations Teams by gathering data from our events, maintaining records for reporting, creating certificates for Continuing Education, and entering data into software systems.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in securing data from the Programs Team for monthly Amex reports for Finance.
• Receive data sheets, invoices, and expenses and assist with entering information in the master document or software database.
• Assist in compiling program report data and tailoring it to specific audiences (uploading reports to portals—including weekly registration updates from the Medical Education Program Manager—to provide to the sales team).
• Create certificates for Sales Reps
• Enter dinners in Virtual Badge
• Enter dinners in MediSpend
• Assist in consolidating and cleaning registration, attendee, speaker, and survey data.
• Assist in maintaining records and documentation associated with all programs, including Medical Education programs and CE crediting through associations, including ASRT, ARRT, BRN, and AOTA. *
• Support Medical Education program and operations teams.
• Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures. *
• Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company. *
• Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures. *
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Alameda, CA

Starting hourly pay is $19.38 to $28.50
• Individual compensation will vary over time based on factors such as performance, skill level, competencies, work location, and shift.

Required Qualifications
Minimum education and experience:
• High school diploma with 1+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred qualifications:
• Medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industry experience desired
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments while handling various projects simultaneously.

Working Conditions

• Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens
• Requires some lifting and moving of up to 15 pounds
• Must be able to move between buildings and floors.
• Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day.
• Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets.
• Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed.
• Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.
