The MRO Buyer position will perform activities related to the purchasing of materials, repairs, equipment, supplies and services for operational needs. Implements and communicates company policies and procedures for Purchasing. Reviews purchase requests for completeness and compliance with company requirements; negotiates with vendors and approves purchases of authorized amounts. Maintains and updates purchase orders, systems, and documentation. Monitors the cost, schedule and performance metrics of contracts and subcontracts.

What You'll Work On

  • Purchasing of materials, repairs, equipment, supplies, and services
  • Reviews incoming requisitions for accuracy and completeness; confirms proper authorization signatures
  • Processes and issues purchase orders in ERP system
  • Ensures best sourcing decisions through competitive bidding and comparative analysis
  • Engages in negotiations of cost reductions, discounts, terms, and delivery with MRO suppliers
  • Runs open order report to ensure orders are received on time and track orders that need to be closed
  • Interfaces with Receiving and Accounts Payable to resolve shipping and invoicing discrepancies
  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures
  • Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards and procedures
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

    • What You Bring

  • A passion for teamwork and problem solving
  • Project Management tracking experience
  • Strong negotiating skills for capital equipment
  • Two plus years' experience as a MRO buyer, preferably in the medical device or other regulated industry
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, QAD experience a plus
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Coupa and SAP experience preferred
