As an Operations Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for partnering with the cross-functional Operations teams (Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehousing and Logistics) providing value-added financial analysis that will drive decision making, business results and allow the company to meet its critical objectives. You will also participate in the monthly and quarterly financial close, reconciliation and reporting processes; supporting the annual review and update of standard cost; participating in the semi-annual cycle-count observation with Penumbra’s external auditors and supporting new software adoptions. Please note that this is an ONSITE position.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in the monthly close process. This include preparing journal entries for inventory, COGS, and COGS Cost Center adjustments and accruals.
  • Analyze monthly variances related to changes in inventory, including purchasing, planning, manufacturing, logistic, COGS Cost Center Spending, and excess and obsolete inventory analysis. Using the System of Record (ERP), tableau, and other AI tools, such as Power BI and Alteryx for example, build charts, graphs and presentations to communicate results.
  • Participate in monthly financial review with the Operations teams providing actionable financial analysis.
  • What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of related accounting experience in a corporate environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite with proficiency in Excel, Word and Power BI and other AI tools
  • Demonstrated ability to critically think through issues and articulate findings with some guidance
  • Basic understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), P & L and Balance Sheet
  • Experience with SAP/HANA or other ERPs
  • US publicly traded company preferred
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Some knowledge of Power Point Presentations creation
  • Analytical with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
