Under general supervision, provide group support inclusively, but not limited to, inspection and testing in support of Penumbra’s policy of delivering quality products that meet and exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Provide training to assemblers or other inspectors. 

What You'll Work On
 ·         Perform routine Inspection at incoming QC and finished device level.* 
·         Inspects components, products, labels, boxes, pouches, and coatings visually and mechanically and accepts or rejects products.* 
·         Takes measurements using micrometers, calipers, snap gauge, gauge pins and other measuring instruments.* 
·         Conduct and report on investigations to support first article inspections and non-conformance resolutions.* 
·         Inspects pilot and regular products.* 
·         Perform line clearance and line audits.* 
·         Reads, understands and interprets engineering specifications.* 
·         Reviews data generated by QC Inspectors for accuracy (secondary signature authority).* 
·         Supports departmental and interdepartmental training activites.* 
·         Assists Quality Engineers in troubleshooting instrument and general inspection issues.* 
·         Complies with documented inspection and data recording procedures.* 
·         Performs special inspections on new materials and/or products.* 
·         Performs troubleshooting activities in support of equipment and/or inspection issues.* 
·         May act as lead, in the absence of lead, assigning and prioritizing other inspectors’ jobs. 
·         Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.*   
·         Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards and procedures.*  
·         Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

 Position Qualifications 
 
Minimum education and experience: 
 
·         High School diploma with a minimum3 years of Quality Control Inspector experience in regulated medical/manufacturing companies, or equivalent combination of education and experience required to perform at this level 
  
Additional qualifications:      
 
·         AA degree preferred 
·         Familiarity with measuring devices and instruments, visual inspection techniques, and computers. Experience working in a production environment, preferably in a quality control or inspection capacity 
·         Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices within a medical device environment 
·         Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills 
·         High degree of accuracy and attention to detail 
·         Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
·         Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize assignments while handling various projects simultaneously
