As a Senior Manager of Transactional Accounting at Penumbra, you will play a critical role in the company's payable and receivable cycles. You will be responsible for leading accounts receivable and accounts payable teams while delivering optimal cash flow metrics. This person will proactively drive, design, and strengthen efficient operations while ensuring effective compliance with the Company’s internal controls.
 
What You’ll Work On
• Provide leadership and management of US and overseas Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams.
• Achieve efficient cash collection and payment metrics while optimizing cash flow.
• Define, standardize and streamline standard operating procedures and manage ongoing training programs.
• Develop and implement best practices, including assistance with the scoping and implementation of systems and tools.
• Prepare and present monthly reporting for senior management to address risk concentrations.
• Assist with parts of the month end close including analysis, reviewing journal entries and/or account reconciliations.
• Ensure timely delivery of audit schedules and direct interface with external auditors.
• Ensure SOX compliance by monitoring accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Select, manage, train, and develop staff. Establish objectives and assignments and provide ongoing feedback through performance reviews and development plans.
 
What You Contribute
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field with 10+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 8+ years of experience in a supervisory role desired
• Proven ability to build and lead teams
• Strong analytical abilities
• Proficient in use of technology
• Strong project management and presentation skills
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize assignments while handling various projects simultaneously

Working Conditions
General office environment. Willingness and ability to work on site. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day. Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.

Annual Base Salary Range:  $150,000 - $180,000 / year

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
