Pinterest is experiencing significant growth, development, and transformation. Pinterest is seeking a Director of International Insights to create and deliver effective insights-led content that highlights how Pinterest uniquely meets the needs of advertisers and agencies across the globe.

 

About the role

The Director of International Insights will lead our expanding International Insights Solutions team, with direct reports across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. You will oversee a group of insights professionals tasked with extracting valuable insights from the Pinterest platform, enhancing them with third-party research, and delivering strategic content to our Sales organization to encourage increased advertiser investment in Pinterest. You will collaborate with your North American counterpart to leverage best practices while creating deliverables, processes, and content that specifically address the needs of international markets.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Insights and Content Solutions, you will serve as a key leader within the team, aligning on priorities, resources, and global initiatives. You’ll lead manager forums and contribute to the broader vision and strategic direction of the Insights and Content Solutions team. This team is part of the Global Client Solutions organization, requiring collaboration with regional leaders in Brand/Creative, Measurement, and Performance teams.

Your responsibilities will include strategic insight management, team leadership, and spearheading cross-functional efforts to develop systems that provide impactful, revenue-driving insights tailored to market needs. Supporting direct sales as your primary stakeholder, your team will be evaluated based on their effectiveness in driving revenue growth and strengthening advertiser partnerships.

What you will do:

  • Lead a High Performing Team:
    • Oversee the International Insights team, providing market intelligence and actionable insights to direct sales teams to enhance advertiser engagement and drive revenue growth. You will be accountable for your team’s performance and the quality of content produced, ensuring high standards and impactful results.
    • Contribute to the growth vision and tactical planning necessary to accelerate revenue growth in international markets.
  • Accelerate the Democratization of Insights: 
    • Develop systems to efficiently deliver clear, compelling, and revenue-driving insights-led content to direct sales teams.
    • Support the growth of emerging markets by implementing analytical solutions tailored to each region, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build data systems for efficient insights extraction and utilization.
    • Establish and execute insights programs that align with the strategic objectives and functional pillars, ensuring all efforts drive towards consistent, impactful insights application.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration and Innovation:
    • Engage with global insights counterparts to share best practices and establish efficiencies across markets.
    • Facilitate alignment across teams to ensure that insights are leveraged across the organization to meet shared objectives.
    • Lead initiatives to integrate AI technologies into insights operations, driving efficiencies and enhancing the quality and speed of data analysis and content delivery.
    • Promote a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging experimentation and adoption of new tools and methodologies that can improve insights generation and application.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 15+ years of experience in developing insights within digital media platforms and/or at companies with advertising-based business models.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience leading teams to generate compelling insights-driven content that uniquely addresses customer needs and drives sales.
  • Strong understanding of insights and data analytics, with proven experience using data for storytelling; data visualization skills are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Statistics, Marketing Sciences, Strategy, or equivalent experience. Proficient in SQL, with a minimum of 5 years of active utilization in relevant roles
  • An empathetic leader with strong operational discipline and a process-oriented mindset. Experience working with international markets, understanding regional differences and ensuring inclusivity and respect for cultural nuances.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex insights in a clear and impactful manner to various stakeholder levels, including executives. Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging teams to seek new opportunities and efficiencies. Enthusiasm about adopting AI technology to enhance relevant insights delivery at scale.

In-Office Requirement Statement

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection. This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from the Pinterest London office.
