As a Software Engineer on the Data Engineering team you'll provide intelligence to the rest of the company that will enable making better product decisions. You'll make use of the latest advances in large scale data processing to uncover insights in data. You’ll work on building critical data pipelines and solutions with a world-class team of engineers towards the mission of enabling planet-scale, data-driven products and insights at Pinterest.
- Work with cross functional stakeholders to design data analytics solutions
- Build robust data pipelines, tooling and platform solutions which collect, process, and compute large datasets
- Create critical datasets for analytical use cases, machine learning and many other strategic initiatives
- Continuously improve code and data quality, processing performance and increase operational resilience
- 3+ years of industry experience as a software engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science or equivalent experience
- Proficient in SQL, Python and Scala/Java using Apache Spark or any other distributed framework
- Passionate about working with data at hundreds of petabytes scale
