Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seek a highly motivated and proven Senior Specialist, Protective Services. This job reports to the Manager in the Protective Services Team of PPFA. The Protective Services Team provides highly specialized executive protection, travel safety, and overall safety and security of events and conferences critical to achieving the organization’s mission through supporting staff resilience.

Purpose: 
This role supports the Manager, Protective Services and Senior Director, National Office Security, with the requirement to assist in the preparation of security plans and coordinate with on-site security for executive travel and PPFA Events & Conferencing within the US. Prospective candidates should have significant experience in organizing security logistics, managing access control, overseeing event security vendors, partnering with cross-functional teams, as well as have Executive Protection experience. This role will focus on the safety, security, and privacy of our employees, volunteers, and guests while ensuring the organization’s event goals are met.

Delivery: 
● Assist with and develop comprehensive security plans for designated special events, including: conduct site advances, manage logistics and prepare contingency and emergency response procedures; coordinate third-party security personnel, security vendors, medical assets, and law enforcement support, and manage the access control for assigned events and conferences.
● Work in close coordination with the National Office Security team, Events & Conferences team, Intelligence team, and other cross-functional teams and key stakeholders as directed.
● Prepare site assessment briefings, after-action reports, and security metrics for assigned events.
● Demonstrate the ability to effectively analyze intelligence and threat reports to formulate and implement security measures to mitigate risks.
● Must be available 24/7 to provide relevant briefings and updates to the Protective Services Manager, National Office Security leadership.
● Maintain standard special events operating procedures and templates.
● Assist in executive protection details and in maintaining electronic files and shared reference documents.
● Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic law enforcement partners, first responders, and private sector corporate security peers

Engagement: 
The Senior Specialist, Protect Services, will have a strong customer service philosophy and an organized approach to their work. Their work will support the Global Safety and Security Team, maintain a sustained partnership with PPFAs Office of the President, Events & Conferences, and National Office Security teams.

● Completes security scheduling and logistics for assigned meetings and events.
● Prepare materials and relevant resources in advance of meetings and events.
● Track and maintain projects [through Asana or other project management program], including updating/curating tasks, authoring status updates, and following up with assignees on progress.
● Sustained partnership with PPFAs Office of the President, Events & Conferences, and National Office Security teams.
● Completes security scheduling and logistics for assigned meetings and events.
● Prepare materials and relevant resources in advance of meetings and events.
● Track and maintain projects [through Asana or other project management program], including updating/curating tasks, authoring status updates, and following up with assignees on progress.
● Sustained partnership with PPFAs Office of the President, Events & Conferences, and National Office Security teams.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): 
● Robust and demonstrable working knowledge of Google Suite (Gmail, calendar, meeting, etc.)
● Ability to understand and work with new/emerging technologies.
● Minimum of 5+ years of special event security and executive protection experience, preferably with a combination of law enforcement or military and the private sector.
● Must be experienced in conducting security site assessments, managing event security, and coordinating related logistics.

Travel: 50% of the time, the job requires domestic travel

Roles that are denoted as NYC, DC, or both will work a hybrid schedule and are expected to work in their assigned PPFA office a minimum 2 days per week unless the role is denoted as onsite, which requires working onsite full time or 5 days per week.
